THE DANCE FORCE classes and programs are structured to suit both the recreational dancer as well as the professional dancer. We believe proper dance technique and training can be taught in a fun, nurturing class setting where students are motivated to work hard and encouraged by positive, friendly professional dance instructors. Our classes are designed to build a strong foundation of dance technique in a healthy and positive manner.
Students of all levels and abilities will receive the training needed to excel in the art of dance. All classes include warm-ups, technique training, vocabulary, strengthening exercises, traveling sequences, center work, and choreography. Our goal is to instill a love of dance, an education of the art, and a passion for performing, while building confidence and self-esteem in each and every student who steps through our door!
The Dance Force was founded in 1997 by four friends who loved to dance, create and entertain.
We began our journey as a traveling performance company, dancing and entertaining at festivals, fairs, schools, day cares and private functions throughout New England.
For over 6 years, we performed at countless events such as Quincy’s Arts in the Park, Cambridge Octoberfest and May Fair, Needham Fall Festival, Salem Haunted Happenings, Quincy’s First Night Celebrations, Newport Winterfest and so much more!
We also toured and performed with a local musical band “Bon Voyager.” With a repertoire of more than 40 self-choreographed routines, we began putting together our own productions at The Dance Complex in Cambridge MA from 1998 to 2002.
In addition to performing routines, we became Dj’s as well as party facilitators and continue to entertain at children’s parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings and school dances. Combining our love for the art of dance and our passion for working with children, we decided to open our own dance studio in 2002 in Norwood MA where we have had the great pleasure of serving the community for over 15 years!
